Outline of Research
We focus on cardiovascular diseases and ion-channel regulation.

Outline of Research Our laboratory conducts research on "pharmacology," which involves studying the mechanisms by which drugs exert their effects after being administered. As someone who studies medicine, it particularly intriguing how a small, single molecule can have a profound impact on complex systems within the human body.
Our aim is to understand the underlying mechanisms of suffering, with study ranging from the smallest level of molecules to the complexity of the whole body. We use advanced techniques from a range of fields including molecular biology, biochemistry, electrophysiology, imaging, cellular function manipulation, and behavioral research. Our focus is on exploring the unknown connection between brain activity and behavior in free-moving animals using real-time brain imaging while observing behavior. We hope to uncover the fundamental pathophysiology of CNS diseases with the intent to discover novel and effective drug therapies to combat these challenging conditions.
