Outline of Research | |||
| We have been investigating the following subjects. (1) The metabolism of very-long-chain fatty acid (VLCFA) which accumulates in the body of patients with some peroxisomal diseases. Elucidation of the enzymes that synthesize and degrade VLCFA should help to clarify the molecular mechanism of such diseases and lead to the development of clinical applications. (2) Metabolomics of glycosphingolipids in sphingolipidosis using LC-MS/MS |
