Education & Research Center for Pharmaceutical Exercises

Outline of Center
This Center supports the undergraduate program, mainly the laboratory training of students (first to fourth-year students) by performing maintenance and management of laboratory instruments and labware in the practical rooms. The Center also plans and practices the first laboratory training of chemistry and biology for first-year fresh students, which become the basis for subsequent practical steps in the specialized subjects of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Students are also best supported by this Center in learning specialized subjects and finishing the graduation thesis with ther personal computer by solving hardware-derived troubles.
The main research supject is innate immunity in the bacterial infection and the defensive mechanism. Hepatic surveillance and clearance of bacterial endotoxin from the blood stream is one of mechanisms which protect the host from excess adverse defensive response to bacteria. Analyses underlyning this pathophysiological process are undertaken in cellular and molecular levels.
