	Outline of Research
I) Neuroscience research using whole-body animals. 1) Elucidation of the mechanism of cerebellar motor learning (blink reflex conditioning). 2) Exploration of treatments for Alzheimer's disease, autism spectrum disorder, schizophrenia, and other neurological disorders. II) Physicochemical research on the synthesis, properties, and applications of porphyrins and heme. 1) Synthesis, properties and reactivity of non-planar porphyrins. 2) Development of new water-soluble porphyrins.
